Romulo and Julianne

Romeo and Juliet, star crossed lovers. Why are they called that? Why is their love forbidden? The themes and how it shows a meaning and poetry throughout the story, that is what they are.

Romeo is a character who is heartbroken because of his loss of Rosaline, but his friends decide he can go and crash a Capulet party. (Capulet and Montague's have been fighting for many years.) He agrees and goes, after a while he meets Juliet and it was love at first sight. There was a catch, Romeo was a Montague and Juliet was a Capulet. Their love was forbidden because of the hate the Montague and the Capulet have for each other.

"Star Crossed Lovers" the term is like their love is being tortured by the stars, an example when Romeo finds out Juliet is "dead" he yells at the stars, like the stars chose his destiny. It was like their love had to be, or else the world could see a darker fate.

When I say "FATE" I mean if this wouldn't have happened, if they both didn't kill themselves for each other, the Montague and Capulet's would have been fighting for the rest of their family's lives and it would get really messy.

The love these two people had was unbearable. They did anything for each other, and they even killed themselves for each other. I think that is the morale of the story, love is stronger than hate, love is stronger than anything you can put your mind to.

I am currently reading The Dark Portal by Jeff Grub and it is about how the fel orcs and illidan from outland to azeroth and not medivh has to go to karazhan to help fix the dark portal and keep it contained. The book shows no love story but is very interesting and action packed, it shows very serious quality and is a haggard felt book.

Medivh is a high elve who was turned by the night into a night elve and lived with many night elves before he was sent to contain the dark portal. The portal was breached and he sent for help to karazhan. He found an old friend in karazhan, Moroes. He is an undead thieve, but is a prince of the castle of karazhan. His character shows no emotion and is always in the shadows. Personally he is my favorite character and he gets more interesting as the story goes along. I can't connect to any of these characters because they are all so serious and the only real comic relief is the Stagemaster. He controls what preformances go on in karazhans theatre. The plays he puts on are, Romulo and Julianne, Wizard of Oz, and Little Red Riding Cloak. He just makes fun of everything and I know many people like that so he really gives me a sense of whats going on.

Overall I am loving this book, even though it is almost unrelatable and it seems so dark, it's a really action packed book with many twists and turns and it shows how good our world is compared to how bad it could be if something were to happen like this.

Shelepateu

If you think you are beaten, you are.
If you think you dare not, you don’t.
If you like to win, but you think you can’t,
It is almost certain you won’t.
If you think you’ll lose, you’re lost,
For out in the world we find,
Success begins with a fellow’s will—
It’s all in the state of mind.
If you think you are outclassed, you are,
You’ve got to think high to rise,
You’ve got to be sure of yourself before
You can never ever win a prize.
Life’s battles don’t always go
To the stronger or faster man,
but soon or late the man who wins
Is the man who thinks he can!

This poem inspired me because it is just trying to make everybody think positive and for you to always keep your chin up and hope for the best it also shows you don't have to be the best at everything to be the person who wins and that's what I think the message of this poem is.
While reading this poem I did not find ryhme but the rythm is repetative but not exact repetition and I thought that was odd in a poem. Also it goes positive - negative in most of the lines until it nears the end then it is showing most positive thoughts instead of getting someone's hopes up then just hitting it with a negative stick.
Rereading it one last time I found that the author is also trying to tell you to make the best of your life if you read carefully and also she wants to tell her readers that they can do whatever they want if they can just stay cool.

poemy thingy

Looking into the mist seeing only myself
No one cares they just throw me on the shelf
I just want to play and have fun
but no body likes me, no one
I just want a friend someone who cares
but I can't have that, I'm all red and scared.
